Kellan Cruz

Life & Purpose

More than a title.

Away from the boardroom, Kellan’s life is shaped by the same values that guide her work: responsibility, honesty about what things cost, and a deep regard for the people around her.

On motherhood

Ambition, given a direction.

When you’re responsible for a child, every risk is calculated, every opportunity seized with purpose.

Kellan Cruz, Cliché Magazine, March 2025

Kellan is a single mother, and her son is at the center of the life she has built. She speaks about motherhood with candor rather than sentiment. It has not slowed her down, she says; it has given her ambition a direction.

It has also changed the way she makes decisions. When you are responsible for a child, she has observed, every risk is calculated and every opportunity is seized with purpose. At home she has tried to build something her own childhood lacked: a house in which feelings are spoken aloud.

On success

Measured by what it makes possible.

Motherhood didn’t slow me down; it fueled me.

Kellan Cruz, Cliché Magazine, March 2025

Kellan does not measure success by title or scale alone. She measures it by what her work makes possible for others: the colleague given a first real opportunity, the team that feels heard, the son who sees what steady effort looks like.

She is wary of polish for its own sake. She would rather hear the voice crack than hear it smoothed over, and she brings that preference for authenticity to her leadership as much as to her life.

Outside the title

A life in motion.

Outside work, Kellan moves constantly: spin class, yoga, Pilates and running. She travels when she can, preferably somewhere she has to figure out for herself. And she loves soulful music, the kind where the artist is plainly connected to every word.

Values

What she stands for.

  • Women’s leadership

Opening doors for women at every level, and making sure the door stays open behind them.

  • Mentorship

Giving time, candor and real opportunity to people earlier in their careers.

  • Teams and communities

Treating the people who do the work, and the places they live, as the point of the enterprise.

  • Human-centered business

Decisions measured by their effect on people, not only by their effect on numbers.

  • Responsible thinking

Choices that hold up over time, for the business and for the world around it.
